Czinger is a cutting-edge automotive company that designs and manufactures high-performance vehicles using advanced technology and innovative methods. We are looking for a Senior Procurement Director to join our team and lead our procurement functions.
As a Senior Procurement Director, you will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, ensuring compliance, and driving cost savings and efficiency. You will also oversee a growing procurement team and provide them with guidance and support. You will work closely with other departments, such as engineering, manufacturing, sales, and vendors, to ensure the smooth and timely delivery of quality products and services.
To be successful in this role, you should have a bachelor’s degree or higher in business, supply chain management, engineering, or a related field, and at least 10 years of progressive experience in procurement management, preferably in a startup in the automotive or manufacturing sector. You will have to show excellence in partnering and collaborating with highly technical teams and external partners on design, technical roadmaps, and sourcing strategies during R&D and mass production phases. You should also have proven leadership, management, and interpersonal skills, exceptional analytical skills, and strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills. You should be highly organized, data savvy, and able to handle complex and ambiguous situations. You should also have a deep technical understanding of how parts are designed and manufactured, and a proven excellence in building an automotive supply base from the ground up in a fast-paced highly technical startup environment.

Responsibilities:
•Lead, develop, and supervise a growing procurement team, including hiring, training, performance evaluation, coaching, and mentoring.
•Partner and collaborate with highly technical teams and external partners on de-sign, technical roadmaps, and sourcing strategies during R&D and mass production phases.
•Develop and execute a robust supply base strategy founded on a deep technical understanding of how parts are designed and manufactured, locations of global centers of excellence, commodity and sub-commodity segmentation, trusted networks of historic suppliers, and total landed cost optimization.
•Possess deep knowledge base on should cost model development and financial forecasting incorporating volume, material /FX indices, as well as other econom-ic factors.
•Analyze market trends, demand forecasts, spend data, and supplier capabilities to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
•Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, standards, and ethical prac-tices in procurement activities.
•Be highly organized, data savvy, and establish a robust management operating system to drive PO health, component delivery, and a high % of On Time Deliv-ery. Ensure critical item master data is regularly reviewed and accurate to allow for proper planning and forecasting.
•Lead supply base risk assessment, reporting, and risk mitigation activities.
•Manage sourcing, selection, negotiation, and contracting of suppliers, vendors, and service providers, ensuring quality, reliability, and value. Monitor and evalu-ate supplier performance, conduct audits, and resolve issues and disputes.
•Drive continuous improvement in People, Processes, and Infrastructure to in-crease our Speed of Innovation and Time to Market.
•Stay updated on the latest developments and best practices in procurement management, and participate in professional networks and associations.
•Establish and maintain effective communication and collaboration with internal and external customers, such as engineering, manufacturing, sales, vendors, etc.
•Prepare and manage procurement budgets, reports, and metrics, and present them to senior management and other stakeholders.
Requirements:
•Bachelor’s degree or higher in business, supply chain management, engineering, or a related field.
•At least 10 years of progressive experience in procurement management, pref-erably in a startup in the automotive or manufacturing sector.
•Proven leadership, management, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to mo-tivate and influence others.
•Exceptional analytical skills and uses data to make decisions and formulate strategies.
•Proven excellence in building an automotive supply base from the ground up in a fast paced highly technical startup environment.
•Exceptional communication skills both verbal and written. Keen ability to make the complex simple.
•Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences and stakeholders.
•Exceptional ability to manipulate and analyze data to facilitate robust problem-solving, decision-making, with a proven ability to handle complex and ambiguous situations.
•High level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical standards, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
•Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications, such as ERP.
