What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Compile and communicate procurement project timelines and emerging priorities while coordinating with internal departments
- Manage procurement and supply management processes, including purchasing materials and scientific equipment
- Lead contract negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions and ensure compliance
- Monitor inventory levels, forecast demand, and manage stock replenishment to avoid shortages and excesses
- Evaluate vendor reliability and maintain strong supplier relationships to address quality-related issues
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree and 5 or more years of experience in procurement or equivalent experience
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate vendor reliability and manage supplier relationships
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and suppliers
- Strong organizational skills to monitor purchasing activities and maintain inventory levels
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- In-depth understanding of bio-manufacturing procurement operations
- Proven ability to efficiently manage procurement processes for timely delivery and cost reduction
- Experience liaising with internal teams such as Quality and Compliance, Product Development, Supply Chain, Legal, and Finance
- Expertise in leading contract negotiations and conducting supplier selection
- Experience in drafting, reviewing, and finalizing procurement contracts
