What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Oversee and manage E&S property business workflows, including evaluating and underwriting new and renewal business
- Assess risk submissions and data to make informed decisions on coverage, pricing, and terms
- Maintain adherence to company underwriting authority guidelines and ensure proper documentation of underwriting decisions
- Develop and maintain effective long-term relationships with brokers and teammates through clear communication
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and market conditions to drive market growth
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Risk Management and Insurance, or a related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Underwriting or a related field
- E&S Property underwriting experience preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Completion of or continuing progress toward a professional designation
- Experience in developing and executing marketing initiatives within the insurance industry
