- Recruits, hires, trains, develops, schedules and directs all personnel and volunteers within scope of position description as needed. Reviews and evaluates staff performance. Develops strategies to coach and motivate staff to develop & improve their job skills and achieve goals.
- Responsible for developing and managing health and wellness and teen center budget to meet fiscal objectives.
- Works collaboratively with City of Morgan Hill partners to ensure high quality customer service and member experience
- Ensures records of staff certifications are current and complete
- Develops and Promotes fee-based and family membership benefit programs and works to ensure enrollment objectives are met. Ensures programs are of highest quality at all times.
- Manages and tracks monthly program and member statistics
- Responsible for increasing and improving member retention strategies
- Participates in the annual campaign
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Directly supervise a full-time Program Director, Lead Staff for the Teen Center, and Kids Club, providing guidance and support to ensure effective program delivery.
- Foster a collaborative and positive work environment that encourages professional growth and teamwork.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate health and wellness programs tailored to meet the needs of the community.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of children in the Kids Club and Teen Center through comprehensive programming and risk management strategies.
- Design and manage a robust volunteer program aimed at enhancing retention and engagement within the community.
- Recruit, train, and support volunteers to maximize their impact and contributions.
- A preferred Bachelor's degree in Health and Wellness, Recreation Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in program management and staff supervision within a health and wellness or recreational setting.
- Strong understanding of youth programming, safety standards, and best practices in volunteer management.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Passion for health and wellness and a commitment to fostering a positive community environment.
- Ability to develop and grow fee-based programs.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Senior Program Director is responsible for implementing the Y mission, strategic goals, key initiatives and core values. This involves all aspects of developing and delivering a quality member experience through direct oversight of youth and teen programs, health and wellness program areas, and member engagement . This position plays an integral role helping to manage the Mt. Madonna Branch at the Centennial Recreation Center in partnership with the City of Morgan Hill. As a member of the Mt Madonna leadership team the Senior Program Director plays a pivotal role in the administration, finances, and fundraising for the Mt. Madonna YMCA.
SALARY RANGE: $90,000 - $93,000/ Annual

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Visual and auditory ability to observe and to respond to critical incidents and the physical ability to act swiftly in an emergency situation; Ability to lead and interact in group activities and perform related physical skills; Ability to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, or crouch. Ability to climb, push, and pull; Ability to lift and carry objects up to 20 pounds.
