What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Interpret project needs based on communication from project sponsors and define requirements
- Analyze existing systems and provide recommendations for improvements and efficiency gains
- Conduct testing procedures to ensure quality programming output
- Train internal and external customers on new applications and maintain documentation
- Provide 24/7 on-call support for Technology Department-related issues
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of ten years of experience with RPG programming in an IBM environment
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Ability to work effectively in both team and individual environments
- Willingness to take a leadership role and provide support as needed
- Ability to travel as necessary for the position
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in the trucking industry is preferred
- Familiarity with SQL and EDI is favorable but not mandatory
