      As we continue to innovate and grow, we're seeking a talented Senior Project Engineer - Electrical to join our team for the exciting Western Downs BESS Stage 2 project.

      ABOUT THE ROLE
      This is a site-based DIDO/FIFO role located near Chinchilla, QLD.

      You will take charge of conceptual and detailed engineering for HV substations, solar, battery, and electrical Balance of Plant (BOP) systems. Ensuring timely and cost-effective project completion in line with client contracts will be your key focus.

      Your duties and responsibilities will include:

      • Assist in project forecasting and constructability assessments.
      • Liaise with cross-functional teams, including procurement, construction, and commissioning, to ensure smooth project execution.
      • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers, subcontractors, and construction teams during project execution.
      • Review electrical works, test sheets, and approve ITPs upon completion.
      • Support the Project Manager in ensuring compliance with UGL's Management System documentation.

      Your skills and experience:

      • Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering.
      • Proven leadership and project management experience.
      • Strong background in HV electrical systems or renewable/utility projects.
      • Experience in supervising technical teams.
      • A proactive approach to improving performance, deliverables, and work efficiency.
