What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage environmental, siting, planning, and permitting for energy projects
- Direct preparation of environmental documentation, including impact analyses and permit applications
- Oversee energy facility siting/routing, permitting, and environmental field surveys
- Represent clients before federal, state, and local regulatory agencies and planning commissions
- Coordinate and mentor junior staff while managing project budgets and forecasts
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in an environmental program (Biology, Ecology, Environmental Science) or related field; Master’s degree preferred
- Minimum of 15 years of relevant environmental experience
- Ability to research and interpret federal, state, and local regulations for project permitting
- Strong organizational, planning, and communication skills (both oral and written)
- Valid driver's license in good standing and ability to pass the company DMV check
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with environmental, regulatory, and land use agencies, such as the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service
- Proven track record of winning work within the energy market
- Established client relationships within the energy sector
- Experience in managing large complex energy projects
