      Tarkett has a great opportunity for a Senior Quality Manager for our Ohio Campus.

      ** Relocation assistance available for non-local candidates. **

      Tarkett is seeking a Senior Quality Manager to join our successful and growing team based out of our Chagrin Falls Manufacturing Plant in Ohio. In this position you will represent the quality function in product development, supplier quality development, claims management, and support of manufacturing operations for multiple plants in Northeast OH. The Senior Quality Manager is a key role in our management team focused on the development of quality products, processes, controls and suppliers by utilizing WCM quality methods and tools along with ISO 9001 QMS, to drive and sustain continuous improvement.

      What this role is responsible for:

      • Lead, hire, train, motivate, evaluate and develop the quality team in a multi-site campus environment

      • Drive improvement in critical metrics including customer complaints, scrap, costs of poor quality and corrective actions; this also includes reducing the total cost of poor quality

      • Lead Focused Improvement and PAP projects as well as coach, mentor and lead the quality team through PAP projects

      • Serve as the ISO 9001 Management Representative – oversee and maintain the ISO 9001 certification and system plant wide

      • Ensure adherence to procedures and instructions included in the QMS

      • Develop, and provide leadership for the corrective action system; including verify, by auditing, the effectiveness of corrective actions

      • Work closely with Engineering and Operations on projects and process improvements

      • Work closely with Design and R&D on new product evaluations, process validation and approval process

      • Provide leadership and direction to all support groups providing input to the manufacturing process

      • Coordinate and lead quality related training

      • Approve purchased product suppliers

      • Implement quality tools (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, Control Plans for example)

      • Decision making responsibility to hold or release current production, held product or returned product

      • Recommend disposition on out of specification testing results (derogation responsibility)Develop and work within annual departmental budget

      Education & Experience Desired:

      • Bachelor's Degree required.

      • 7+ years' quality experience in manufacturing, including experience with ISO 9001 and team leadership experience, required.

      • APQP and/or PPAP experience highly preferred.

      • ASQ Quality Certification preferred.

      • Experience in Extrusion, Plastics or Rubber Manufacturing preferred.

      • WCM or other similar Quality Management Programs experience preferred.

      • Must be able to pass a color vision test.

      • Willingness and ability to travel - Overnight 10% - 20%
