What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Evaluate and implement state-of-the-art AI, information retrieval, and search techniques into the employer's knowledge products
- Improve and invent new AI, information retrieval, and search features and capabilities
- Present and educate the team, customers, and the community on advancements
- Consume state-of-the-art literature and stay updated on AI, information retrieval, and search
- Collect data, train models, run evaluations, and present findings
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Ph.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related field
- A track record of impactful research demonstrated through publications in top-tier machine learning, theory, algorithms, search, and data science conferences and journals
- Experience in being an effective team member in product-centric engineering groups
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in publishing and presenting technical reports, blog posts, and academic papers
- Familiarity with the latest advancements in AI and information retrieval technologies
