- Proactive Sales & Business Development: Identify, qualify, and secure new group and catering business opportunities, maximizing revenue potential and supporting hotel growth goals.
- Client Relations & Negotiation: Build lasting relationships with clients, skillfully negotiate contracts, and execute Group Sales Agreements to ensure clarity and mutual benefit.
- Customer Experience Leadership: Partner with Event Management and Operations teams to deliver seamless experiences, from booking through post-event follow-up, exceeding guest expectations at every touchpoint.
- Market Knowledge & Strategy: Maintain in-depth awareness of competitor activities, economic trends, and supply-demand shifts to strategically position the hotel in the market.
- Community & Industry Engagement: Represent the hotel through local community involvement, trade shows, FAM trips, and client entertainment, strengthening brand presence and fostering loyalty.
- Sales Process Excellence: Utilize Marriott Global Source, eTools (eRooming Lists, eProposals, Passkey), and same-day selling procedures to optimize efficiency and revenue generation.
- Site Inspections & Presentations: Showcase the hotel’s offerings with professionalism and impact, leaving prospective clients with a lasting impression of the Grand’s capabilities.
- Contract & Turnover Management: Ensure accurate, comprehensive booking documentation and provide thorough turnovers to Event Management for flawless execution.
- Continuous Improvement & Feedback: Actively gather guest and planner feedback, address concerns promptly, and collaborate with departments to elevate overall service standards.
- Leadership & Example Setting: Model exceptional guest relations and salesmanship, inspiring confidence in clients and colleagues alike.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management, Sales, or related field preferred.
- Prior experience in hospitality sales or group/catering sales management strongly preferred.
