      POSITION OVERVIEW:

      The Senior Scheduler is responsible for developing and maintaining detailed construction project schedules that ensure successful, on-time delivery of complex projects. This role requires a strong grasp of construction sequencing, collaboration across teams, and proactive risk mitigation.

      The role works closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, and subcontractors to align timelines, track progress, and adjust schedules as needed. The ideal candidate is a critical thinker who thrives in a dynamic environment and understands the strategic impact of accurate scheduling on overall project success.

      KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

      PROJECT SCHEDULE DEVELOPMENT

      Build and maintain construction project schedules using Primavera P6, MS Project, or other scheduling tools.

      STAKEHOLDER COLLABORATION

      Coordinate with project teams, field staff, and subcontractors to gather input and validate scheduling assumptions.

      PROGRESS TRACKING

      Monitor ongoing project activity, compare actual progress against the baseline schedule, and identify variances.

      SCHEDULE ANALYSIS & UPDATES

      Conduct regular updates, look-ahead reviews, and impact assessments. Recommend corrective actions for delays or risks.

      CRITICAL PATH & RISK ANALYSIS

      Analyze the critical path and float to determine the effect of changes and inform strategic decision-making.

      REPORTING & DOCUMENTATION

      Prepare schedule status reports, progress summaries, and documentation of schedule changes and delays.

      SUBCONTRACTOR COORDINATION

      Confirm that subcontractor timelines and deliverables align with the overall project schedule.

      ISSUE RESOLUTION

      Flag potential scheduling issues early and collaborate with team members to develop mitigation plans.

      QUALIFICATIONS:

      Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.

      Minimum of 4 years of experience in construction scheduling, ideally in large-scale or mission critical environments.

      Proficiency in scheduling software such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar tools.

      Strong understanding of construction phases, sequencing, and resource planning.

      SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES:

      High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.

      Excellent organizational and time management abilities.

      Effective communicator and collaborator across field and office roles.

      An ability to anticipate challenges and develop contingency plans.

      Comfortable working in fast-paced, deadline-driven settings.

      Familiarity with construction terminology, codes, and safety regulations.

      PMP or similar certification is a plus but not required.
