What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Research, write, and maintain clear, current, and practical legal content aligned with market practice and customer needs
- Review and edit content created by colleagues or external expert contributors
- Stay updated on legal, practice, and market developments to ensure content remains accurate and relevant
- Support the development of customer-focused AI-powered legal solutions
- Develop and maintain relationships with lawyers and industry groups to ensure content reflects current market practices
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Juris Doctor with a current license to practice law in at least one US jurisdiction
- Minimum of 8 years of experience as a corporate and M&A lawyer in a law firm or in-house
- Extensive knowledge of corporate law and M&A, including experience drafting and negotiating M&A agreements
- Strong writing skills and a passion for writing about legal practice accurately and concisely
- Experience using AI tools in legal work
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience representing private equity sponsors and portfolio companies
- Familiarity with Delaware General Corporation Law and related statutes
- Ability to effectively utilize various tools, including generative AI technologies
- A curious mindset about the intersection of AI and legal practice
- Experience leading complex M&A deals
