What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Audit incoming railcar repair invoices for accuracy and compliance with AAR rules
- Review repair estimates to verify necessity and proper billing of repairs
- Collaborate with internal operations and external repair shops to resolve billing discrepancies
- Maintain organized billing records for all railcar repairs and generate performance reports
- Stay updated on AAR rules, regulations, and industry best practices
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or equivalent required; undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, or related field desired
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in AAR railcar repair billing
- Thorough understanding of AAR car repair and billing rules
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and mathematical skills
- Proficiency in computer software, including Microsoft Excel and relevant billing software
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience in a railroad, railcar leasing, or railcar repair environment
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines concurrently
- Proven experience in technical communication
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience working independently and with cross-functional teams
