      Senior Strategic Performance Manager – Renewable Energy

      United States or Europe

      Come join a pioneering renewable energy sourcing team at Mars – working in pursuit of our ambitious NetZero and Renewable Energy commitments, covering a wide range of global markets and technology solutions to transition our entire energy usage to renewables. This will be an opportunity to deliver rigorous team and category performance management and tracking, alongside project and portfolio level analytics to support robust decision-making for business case go/no-go, commercial negotiations, long term financial planning, and overall global program tracking.

      What are we looking for?

      • Ideally you will have a minimum of 8 years experience in renewable energy market research, analytics, and financial modelling.

      • You'll have experience working in a large, decentralized company, and with global experience in energy markets.

      • You’ll also need to hold a Bachelors, with a strong preference for a Master's Degree

      What will be your key responsibilities?

      • Provide comprehensive global program performance leadership for the Commercial category team’s renewable energy sourcing work

      • Develop and maintain project portfolio dashboards for use by a broad range of stakeholders – covering spend analytics, asset performance, trend analysis, location, etc.

      • Develop foundational market assessments to inform Sourcing Strategy development and go to market approaches globally

      • Manage a broad range of Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) activities – including supplier mapping, financial health and network coverage, NDAs, etc.

      • Maintain and disseminate regular global updates on renewable energy market trends

      • Act as the internal project/deal economics modeler, able to perform ad hoc analysis on deals in order to understand fundamental economics and financial risks to each, including building in varying assumptions and incorporating external data as needed

      • Source, develop internally, and maintain energy market price forecasts (internally developed and 3rd party sourced) and other fundamentals to support internal decision-making

      • Highly preferred- International Renewable Energy experience

      The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between the range listed below, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, if eligible, including variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401k plan, and paid time off benefits. Eligibility for these additional elements depend on the position offered and the employee’s work schedule (i.e., part-time schedule, store associate). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an applicant receives an offer of employment.
