      Purpose of the role:

      We are seeking a biopesticide lead to join our team to act as a Study Director. The role will involve interacting with clients and the broader Fera businesses to design and develop registration programmes that facilitate bringing biopesticide products to market expediently.

      The assessment and minimization of the impact of chemicals and biopesticides on the environment and science-based solutions for their sustainable use, underpinned by high-quality research and first-class facilities are fundamental. The main aspects of this role are in the scope of expertise, the insight and interpretation of data and the multi-disciplinary interactions with our teams

      Job Description:

      What you'll be doing:

      • Perform the role of Study Director for regulatory biopesticide studies in their area of expertise according to the respective international guidelines.
      • Perform regulatory and/or research-based laboratory studies into the fate and effects of substances in the environment.
      • Study direct the larger and/or more complex regulatory biopesticide studies performed by the team.
      • To be responsible for the development of new regulatory study services lines and work closely with other areas of the business to deliver broader programmes for our clients.
      • To develop strong communication links with our key clients.
      • To significantly contribute to the business development process for the team, developing proposals, quotes and expanded offerings
      • Discussing requirements with potential clients and designing work to meet their varied needs.
      • Produce reports and communicate results to clients.
      • Contribute to running and maintenance of GLP system and work closely with the Quality team to improve and develop quality systems for new and existing service lines.
      • Review audit reports and submit responses to QA assessors.
      • Review client comments and submit responses.
      • Prepare and issue final reports.
      • Contribute to the development of the scientific and business strategy.
      • Train and mentor less experienced staff as required.

      What we're looking for:

      • A degree (or equivalent) within relevant discipline (For example - Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Metabolic Biochemistry)
      • Experience of operating within GLP quality system
      • Experience delivering regulatory studies, with specific emphasis on bio-pesticides experience/knowledge
      • Minimum of 5 years experience.
