      The Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist partners with our business leaders and hiring managers to understand and plan for the recruitment needs of each area of the business. You will develop a recruitment sourcing and attraction strategy and leverage your project management skills to manage the complete recruitment cycle for critical roles across different departments within the company. You are the subject matter expert and collaborate with the business leaders and HR Business Partners to proactively understand existing and future hiring needs, to deliver the right talent at the right time.

      Senior Recruiter Responsibilities

      • Partner with all internal teams to proactively understand and plan for recruitment needs, including business leaders and HR business partners.
      • Develop and incorporate an effective recruitment plan to fulfill assigned client group hiring needs.
      • Produce and update marketable job postings to attract the right talent for the roles.
      • Promote positions on company’s website, social media channels, and relevant job boards.
      • Actively seek new ways to proactively attract and pipeline candidates for current and future hiring needs.
      • Perform full prescreens, interviews and evaluate the candidates’ skills, knowledge, and experience to recommend the right candidates for consideration.
      • Create exceptional internal and external candidate experience and support candidates through the recruitment hiring and selection process.
      • Effectively prioritize and manage multiple recruitment projects and provide timely updates to clients and candidates as required.
      • Proactively anticipate problems and concerns, and provide well thought-out solutions and recommendations, independently or collaboratively as required.
      • Appropriately escalate concerns to the Director, Talent Acquisition as required
      • Provide coaching and advice to managers throughout the recruitment & selection process, including: sourcing options, interviewing, offer negotiations, and overall strategy and interpretation of related policies & procedures.
      • Resolves problems and provides direction to managers on recruitment related matters concerning internal and external candidates.
      • Proactively leverage market trends and internal talent data (e.g. attrition rates, etc.) to inform talent decisions and provide talent related advice to clients.
      • Provide recommendations to optimize and maintain integrated tools, systems, policies and procedures to enable the efficiency and effectiveness of talent acquisition.
      • Provide mentorship, guidance and support to junior team members in the delivery of talent acquisition services in order to build knowledge and capacity.

      Senior Leader IT Recruitment Support

      • Proactively supports Senior Leaders on recruitment projects.
      • Sets annual networking and recruitment plan to promote Vancity as an employer of choice.
      • Maintains and leads partnerships with Executive and IT agency partners for hard to fill role fulfillment.
      • Stays educated about IT and Senior top talent market trends, including in-demand jobs and compensation patterns.
      • Proactively builds pipeline of candidates and maintains regular touch points to maintain meaningful relationships.

      Senior Recruiter Requirements

      • Seven plus years of recent work experience in talent acquisition, inhouse, agency or a combination of both.
      • 2-3 years IT recruiter, sourcing and client support
      • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or human resources.
      • Proven ability to create business relationships and partnerships to support and coach leaders about hiring best practices.
      • Demonstrated expertise in candidate management.
      • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
      • Effective business-acumen and decision-making.
      • Previous experience with leading recruitment projects for senior levels roles.
      • Project management skills
      • Extensive understanding of HR databases, applicant tracking systems, and candidate management systems.
      • Active user of LinkedIn recruiter, building recruitment projects and candidate pipelines.
      • Positive self-awareness and openness to learn.
      • Work experience in coaching hiring managers about inclusive hiring practices.

      Salary Range: $85,000-$122,000

      We value lived experience, so if you are interested in this role, we encourage you to apply even if you feel your skills don't perfectly align with those listed.

      The salary range for the role is $81,200 to $122,000 and a candidate’s offer is likely to be up to the mid-point of the role ($101,600). The upper half of the salary range is typically reserved for individuals who have demonstrated consistent strong performance in the role and possess a high level of job knowledge and skill.
