- Lead the design and analysis of dam structures, including earthfill, rockfill, concrete gravity, and arch dams.
- Oversee the construction and maintenance of dams, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Conduct site investigations and assessments to determine the feasibility and safety of dam projects.
- Prepare detailed engineering reports, designs, and technical specifications.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including geologists, hydrologists, and environmental scientists.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and staff.
- Ensure adherence to environmental and safety regulations throughout all project phases.
- Perform risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for potential dam failures or issues.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
- Attend industry events, conferences, and seminars to promote WSP’s and your profile.
- Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in dam engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, HEC-RAS, and GIS.
- Master’s Degree in Geotechnical Engineering.
