What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Review, analyze, and resolve curative items on Schedule B and Schedule C of title commitments
- Evaluate legal documents for compliance with Texas underwriting requirements
- Coordinate with underwriting for additional guidance and approvals
- Perform targeted title examinations to identify gaps in the chain of title
- Provide support and guidance to escrow officers and branch teams in high-volume environments
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Mandatory Texas title experience
- Strong knowledge of Texas title examination and curative practices
- Familiarity with TLTA endorsements and Texas Department of Insurance requirements
- Prior experience in title examination, curative/title resolution, or underwriting support
- Ability to independently analyze title issues and propose resolution paths
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Background as a former Texas title examiner who transitioned into curative or underwriting support
- Experience in title examination with expansion into curative work
- Licensed attorneys with relevant experience in title insurance are preferred
