      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Assist in developing the agency's operating and capital budget requests
      - Support Division Directors and agency leadership with budgetary management
      - Develop agency spending plans in accordance with budget guidelines
      - Manage internal controls for the agency's financial operations
      - Respond to legislative requests and draft fiscal notes

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, finance, accounting, economics, statistics, or a related field
      - Four years of professional experience in financial management, budgeting, or program analysis
      - Must possess a valid driver's license to drive in the State of Washington
      - Ability to interpret and apply complex state and federal financial rules
      - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for developing complex documents

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Five years of progressively responsible experience in budgeting or financial management
      - One year of lead or supervisory experience
      - Knowledge of Office of Financial Management rules and State Administrative and Accounting Manual guidelines
      - Experience with statewide financial systems such as the Agency Budget System and Capital Budget System
      - Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
