What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assess the effectiveness of an AI-powered search engine by evaluating user queries and system outputs
- Assign relevance scores to content based on predefined criteria and guidelines
- Analyze user intent and system context to ensure accurate evaluation of search results
- Conduct independent research on unfamiliar terminology and concepts to support evaluations
- Formulate and execute search queries, including KQL queries against Elasticsearch indices as needed
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Strong English reading comprehension and written communication skills
- Ability to reason through ambiguous queries and exhibit disciplined attention to detail
- Familiarity with modern search behavior, including keyword-based and conversational querying
- Experience using web-based tools and internal evaluation platforms
- Consistent application of evaluation guidelines and standards across tasks
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Prior experience in relevance labeling, search quality evaluation, or data annotation
- Exposure to AI-driven search or information retrieval systems
- Basic proficiency in Python for task automation or data handling
- Familiarity with Elasticsearch concepts or query languages
- Experience evaluating technical or operational content across various domains
