What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide social work services to vulnerable individuals through various programs
- Conduct assessments and develop service plans for clients in need
- Collaborate with community agencies to coordinate services and support for clients
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions and progress
- Participate in case reviews and contribute to team discussions on client cases
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Must possess a bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant human services area
- Minimum of one year of professional experience in casework services for socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, or two years for advanced levels
- Valid driver's license and ability to pass a background check, including fingerprinting
- Current employment with the employer is required for this position
- Ability to work within the State of Michigan
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience working with aged and/or disabled populations
- Familiarity with adult protective services or independent living services
- Knowledge of community resources and social service programs
- Skills in crisis intervention and conflict resolution
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
