  Job Title: Shipper and Receiver

  Job Description

  We are seeking a motivated and experienced Shipper/Receiver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating a sit-down counterbalance forklift and an end rider power pallet jack. The ability to lift 50 pounds is required.

  Responsibilities

  • Receiving orders and maintaining organized inventory
  • Picking and packing orders as required
  • Participating in loading and unloading trucks
  • Preparing pertinent documentation for the shipment of goods
  • Receiving all incoming shipments and authorizing the correctness of the product received
  • Initiating claims for damaged goods, shortages/overages, or incorrect products received

  Essential Skills

  • 1-2 years of experience with counterbalance forklift
  • Experience with power jack
  • Experience in loading/unloading trucks and handling associated paperwork
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Experience with RF Scanner picks and palletizing items
  • Comfortable working in refrigerated environments (4C)

  Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in produce is an asset
  • Experience with various racking systems (pushback racking, high racks, etc.)
  • Experience with refrigerated reefer trucks is a plus
  • 1+ year on material handling equipment (MHE)
  • Certification on forklifts (not required as certification will be provided in-house)

  Work Environment

  Our work environment is fast-paced, and we have a team size ranging from 20 to 70 staff members, including shipper/receivers, general labor/production workers, QC, and picker/packers. We offer various shifts, including Sunday to Thursday (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM or 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM), Friday to Monday (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM), and Saturday to Tuesday (8:30 AM – 7:00 PM). The dress code is casual clothing.

  Job Type & Location

  This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Calgary, Alberta.

  Pay and Benefits

  The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.

  Workplace Type

  This is a fully onsite position in Calgary,AB.
