What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Analyze and investigate medical, financial, and contractual information to make timely claim decisions
- Communicate with employers, employees, and medical providers through various channels
- Provide updates and ensure clients understand the claim process and decisions
- Supervise and follow up on outstanding claims to ensure compliance with regulations and quality guidelines
- Utilize analytical and interpersonal skills to assist clients effectively
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or equivalent with 3+ years of customer-facing work experience
- Short Term Disability Claim Processing Experience - at least 1 year preferred
- Legal and policy interpretation skills to apply regulations to claims situations
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel) preferred
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Bachelor's/Associate's degree with 1+ years of customer-facing work experience
- Basic math skills and the ability to actively listen and provide empathy to clients
- Experience working independently as well as in a team environment
- Ability to apply feedback effectively and maintain a high degree of accuracy
