      Overview

      Working as the Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) Lead, you will bridge the gap between development and operations. Further, you will architect, design, and develop new features as well as expand and support existing features. You are expected to learn new technologies based on what we already deploy and while also learn and present new technologies that will enhance our offerings. You will work closely with peers in the wider Workload Automation (WLA) team with touch points into Product Management, Engineering, infrastructure, and application support teams within Deutsche Bank, as well as be responsible for transforming our Control M and Automic platform onto Airflow. A proven track record in the support and maintenance of automation solutions in large, complex global Enterprise environments is a must, and a wider knowledge and appreciation of a variety of industry standard workload automation technologies and products is preferred.

      What You’ll Do

      • Lead a team of Site Reliability Engineers (SREs) across multiple regions while being the key contact (CSM) for SRE activities including weekend releases

      • Automate admin activities and repetitive actions to reduce toil, while testing and re-engineering existing automated solutions during product upgrade

      • Trouble shoot issues with Automated solution that are escalated by the Level 2 team, while creating technical documentation for automated solutions developed

      • Provide 3rd level support across technical teams, business lines, and application teams, in addition to creating Proof of Concepts for interaction with various new third-party tools

      • Focus on spotting run book automation opportunities following them through to fruition, while being responsible for Ad-hoc projects and tasks related to workload automation

      • Control M/ Automic script development (Automic's proprietary script, Structured Query Language (SQL), shell, etc) and responsible for Integrations with a variety of third-party tools and solutions

      Skills You’ll Need

      • Significant experience with the Control M and/ or Automic Automation Engine and its components

      • Proficient with the UNIX command line, Structured Query Language (SQL), Oracle databases, shell scripting and Automic script

      • Experience working with REST application programming interface (API), SOAP API etc., Python, and Cloud, while being familiar with Firewalls & Network communication

      • Practical experience with ITSM tools (preferably ServiceNow) as well as software development life cycle (SDLC) toolchain, including the following tools: JIRA, JAMA, Bitbucket (or similar git repository), Artifactory, Confluence

      • BladeLogic and urban Code Deploy

      Skills That Will Help You Excel

      • Excellent oral and written communication skills (English), team lead experience

      • Be a Self-Starter, highly self-motivated professional with robust decision-making capability, delivery focused and used to working within tight deadlines and able to identify problems at an early stage, as well as a 'team player' but also able to work autonomously

      • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities while working well under pressure and always with a professional demeanor

      • Be able to take on tasks without a high degree of supervision, including weekend releases and a structured, methodical thinker with a keen eye for detail

      • Be confident and able to convincingly structure, summarize, present and challenge thoughts or ideas, as well as appropriately assertive with excellent relationship building and stakeholder management skills

      Expectations

      It is the Bank’s expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the Jacksonville office in accordance with the Bank’s hybrid working model.

      The salary range for this position in Jacksonville is $78,000 to $110,000. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
