A bility to run design of experiments on CMP tools independently.
Spearhead across product development and process integration to determine and develop next generation technology CMP processes and roadmap
Develop and execute experiments to progress R&D projects in a High Volume Manufacturing (HVM) foundry environment.
Partner with experts across GF fabs to promote sharing and learning
Collaborate with Equipment Supplier to determine industry capabilities and evaluate options applicable to GF technology roadmap
Coach and mentor other engineers in the organization
Lead cr oss - fab benchmarking activities to engage the best-in-campus practices across fabs.
Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
Education – Masters or Ph.D Degree in electrical / electronic / Mechanical / Microelectronics / Chemical process Engineering / Chemistry / Physics or related field .
Experience - Minimum 8 year of working experience in CMP Process Development
Skills- Knowledge and hands on experience with CMP platforms and technologies.
Travel - Up to 10%
Fluency in English Language – written & verbal.
Experience – Worked in automated 300mm fabrication facility.
Skill- Familiar with industry patent processes
Project management skills - i.e., the ability to innovate and execute solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong planning & organizational skills.

Summary of Role: GlobalFoundries Fab 8 is seeking an experienced CMP Technologist (8+ years industry experience) with a strong passion for developing new technologies to expand GF’s technology portfolio. This is a great opportunity for a CMP expert to take their experience to the next level by solving complex CMP problems. In this role, you will be responsible for being the conduit for CMP Engineers and our leading-edge R&D programs in our most advanced fab located in Malta, New York. Extensive experience in FEOL and BEOL CMP and expertise in CMP tooling, slurry and consumable is essential in this role.

Expected Salary Range
$104,000.00 - $198,000.00The exact Salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience and location.
