      AWS Elastic Disaster Recovery Service (DRS) enables organizations to minimize downtime and data loss with fast, reliable recovery of on-premises and cloud-based applications. DRS uses cost-effective AWS resources to maintain an up-to-date copy of source servers on AWS, allowing for point-in-time recovery and failback to the primary site after an issue is resolved.

      We are looking for passionate software developers to join out team and help to solve a challenging set of problems in a space packed full of opportunities. In this role, you will participate in the full life cycle of AWS services including requirements definition, software design, implementation and ownership of the product.

      The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic with working on mission critical applications that operate at scale. They will also be passionate about technology and working with the best software developers in the world to innovate and provide our customers an unparalleled experience.

      Key job responsibilities
      • Design and implement solutions that meet high availability, performance, and security requirements
      • Utilize verbal and written communication skills
      • Develop automation testing to verify function as part of our CI/CD pipeline
      • Provide technical leadership in design and implementation of scalable and robust solutions
      • Participate in on-call rotations and incident response
      • Mentor team members on technologies and best practices
      • A forward-looking attitude that helps you keep you aware of the latest in technology

      About the team
      The AWS DRS group develops Disaster Recovery solutions for any source (physical, VM, or cloud) to AWS with near-zero downtime and 100% data integrity. Customers rely on Elastic Disaster Recovery to provide reliable business continuity solutions that simplify mobilizing entire workloads and environments to AWS.- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
      - 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
      - Experience programming with at least one software programming language
      - Strong written and verbal communication skills- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
      - Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
      - Experience with Linux kernel and internals
