      Who you'll work with

      Cisco Networking Engineering (CNE), formerly known as Distributed Systems Engineering (DSE), is a multi-billion-dollar business that generates revenue primarily from the Web, Service Provider Edge, Core, and Optical markets. The organization handles the development of high-end optical products like NCS1010, NCS1014, NCS1004, NCS4000, and NCS2000 series.       What you'll do

      · Work on developing the software application to manage complex optical system and automation stack

      · Deliver high level quality software tools

      · Identify bottlenecks and bugs and devise solutions to these problems

      · Collaborate with a globally distributed engineering team to solve problems

      · Participate in the SW/HW integration


      Minimum qualifications

      · Computer science engineering or equivalent degree at either BSc, MSc or PhD level

      · 7+ years in major full stack programming languages: C/C++, Python,

      · Knowledge of basic optical infrastructure on DWDM systems

      · Knowledge in the use of configuration controls tools and software repository mechanisms such as Jira, GitHub, Bitbucket


      Preferred qualifications

      · Programming experience in Linux environment

      · Ability to work in a globally distributed team with fast prototyping and development

      · Experience within optics/optical networking

      · Understanding of computer networks and network protocols (TCP/IP etc.)
