Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computing Engineering or equivalent discipline and minimum seven (7) years software engineering experience

OR Master's degree and five (5) years' experience, of which at least 2 years' experience must be in designing, implementing, deploying and maintaining applications (Azure Functions, AWS Lambda, or GCP Cloud Functions) or container-based applications in Kubernetes or other Managed Container Services (Azure Container Apps, AWS App Runner, or GCP Cloud Run).

5+ years experience supporting cloud solutions including storage, database resources, queues ,compute resources, etc.

5+ years experience using source repository and CI/CD pipeline.

5+ years experience implementing and deploying REST APIs and micro-services using containerized platform.
- APS office based: The employee prefers to work most of the time from an APS facility.
- Home based: The employee prefers to work most of the time from his/her home.

Software Development Engineer
The Software Development Engineer partners with APS business and IT managers to understand business and functional requirements of various digital enhancement needs across Customer Experience, Internal Operations & Data Management/Reporting domains. Responsible for recommending solutions with optimal mix of COTS (commercially available off-the-shelf) products and customizations needed to meet the business & functional requirements based on existing APS standards & best practices.
Responsible for code development for these customizations. Duties include Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server-side logic, writing reusable, testable, and efficient code, design and implementation of low-latency, high-availability REST APIs using non-blocking and asynchronous programing languages.Minimum Requirements

3) Design and implementation of low-latency, high-availability REST APIs using non-blocking, asynchronous programing languages
4) Work cooperatively with business teams, database management, and IT to achieve release goals
5) Collaborate with security team to ensure environments and resources meet company's minimum-security requirements
6) Regularly evaluate cloud resources usage and propose necessary adjustments
7) Oversee the creation of deployment pipelines for creating and maintaining infrastructure
8) Participates in troubleshooting production issues and ensure issue resolution
