What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide guidance to undergraduate engineering students on course selection and long-term academic planning
- Connect students to relevant campus resources and support services as needed
- Maintain accurate, organized, and confidential documentation of student interactions
- Engage with prospective students and families during recruitment programs and college events
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to stay informed on advising best practices and university policies
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Master’s degree completed by the position start date
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with excellent interpersonal and organizational abilities
- Demonstrated ability to engage undergraduate students and support their academic and personal success
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite and related productivity tools
- Ability to work occasional evenings or weekends for student-facing events
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Master's degree in student affairs, higher education, counseling, or a related field
- Commitment to supporting students through key academic transitions and exploring alternative pathways
- Familiarity with university policies, procedures, and student information systems
- Knowledge of career fields related to science and engineering
