What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Answer inbound calls from patients, prescribers, and healthcare professionals
- Contact doctors to obtain necessary information for prior authorizations
- Manage assigned workflow queues efficiently
- Document information accurately and set up prescription orders
- Ensure compliance with federal and state laws, maintaining ethical standards
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of two years of pharmacy support experience or experience in a healthcare environment
- Pharmacy technician license or pharmacy technician trainee license preferred in states requiring licensure
- Ability to work scheduled hours with varying shifts based on department needs
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact cooperatively and respectfully with colleagues
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Some college education preferred
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) is preferred
