What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Complete patient case finding and perform quality audits for compliance with SEH, KCR, and CoC ACOS standards
- Maintain registry electronic case finding systems and convert data from multiple databases
- Prepare and submit statistical reports based on cancer patient data and trends
- Assist with administrative secretarial duties and support Cancer Conferences and Cancer Committee activities
- Conduct patient follow-up and ensure accurate medical records are maintained
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Allied Healthcare degree or equivalent
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology skills
- Previous healthcare experience
- Eligibility to test for NCRA CTR certification within specified timeframes
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- 2 years of experience in a Cancer Registry
- Oncology/Pathology experience and/or HIM coding experience
- Completion of an NCRA Accredited Formal Education Associate Degree program or equivalent
- Experience in Cancer Registry field with a minimum of 1950 hours
- Completion of a minimum of an associate degree with relevant coursework in Human Anatomy and Physiology
