What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Answer incoming phone calls and process customer orders, including gas permeable and custom soft contact lens orders
- Research and resolve customer inquiries using the latest information and technology
- Ensure timely processing of orders and mail product literature and price lists
- Provide solutions for customers regarding credits and order tracking
- Assist shipping department and manufacturing lab as needed
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in an inbound call center or customer service role
- NCLE Certification required within one year of employment
- Commitment to continuing education to maintain certification every three years
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and moving items up to 25 pounds
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in the optical industry or with specialty lenses
- Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) software
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
