      The Opportunity:

      The Account Executive Connectivity Solutions is an experienced sales professional focused on selling OpenText's portfolio of connectivity solutions that help customers transform, grow faster and operate more efficiently in an increasingly digital world. The primary opportunity is to sell and upsell into whitespace and existing customers. As an Account Executive, you build strong relationships by networking within the account base and leveraging the broader team to identify leads and sales opportunities. Focused on selling OpenText Connectivity products, this Account Executive will develop relationships with senior IT and business management to communicate our value proposition and drive license software sales.

      This position requires a motivated and self-driven individual capable of identifying opportunities through analysis of our current client install base as well as potential new business and market drivers.

      You are great at:

      • Use expertise to seek out new opportunities and expand and enhance existing opportunities to build the pipeline and drive pursuit.
      • Lead Generation - acquire new customers from cold calling into high levels within prospect organizations, networking and various customer account lists.
      • Establish a professional, working, and consultative, relationship with the client, up to and including the C-level for mid-to-large accounts, by developing a core understanding of the unique business needs of the client within their industry.
      • Skillfully executing each phase of the sales process from pipeline generation to closing the deal
      • Maintains knowledge of competitors in the account to better strategically position the company's products and services.
      • Leads or coordinates supporting sales activities.
      • Accurate Forecasting - captures activity information on a timely basis as customer interactions occur to ensure accurate product and services forecasting.
      • Meets or exceeds sales quota.

      What it takes:

      • You have a track record of at least five years of B2B selling across Enterprise and consistent success (exceeding quota) in previous jobs.
      • Prior experience selling IT infrastructure connectivity software is highly desirable, e.g., Host Connectivity, Terminal Emulation, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure for remote access to Linux/Unix/Windows applications, etc.
      • Sound understanding of solution selling concepts and sales methodology.
      • Excellent prospecting, account management and closing skills.
      • Strong telephone skills, communication, and presentation skills.
      • High energy level, strong work ethic, drive, integrity, and accountability.
      • Self-sufficiency: ability to work independently within a team environment.
