      Description:

      The Senior BIM Specialist is a key member of HFA's Design Technology team, responsible for advancing BIM standards, workflows, and best practices across the firm. This role partners closely with studio teams, discipline leaders, and Design Technology leadership to provide expert-level BIM support, training, and strategic guidance.

      This is a hands-on, highly collaborative role ideal for a BIM professional who enjoys problem-solving, mentoring others, and improving how teams work in Revit and related design technologies while supporting HFA's commitment to quality, consistency, and design excellence.

      Job Responsibilities:

      Work with minimal supervision as a member of the BIM Team, under the leadership of the Design Technology Lead and Director of Design Technology. With a customer service mind set and proven ability to problem-solve and troubleshoot, the Sr. BIM Specialist will provide both Design Technology Team members and studio staff with over-the-shoulder training and support. In addition, this role will have an elevated focus on advancing and strengthening relationships with Studio Teams and discipline leaders by demonstrating strong communication, organizational skills, and transparency. Must demonstrate a reliable, responsive, and positive work ethic with the highest degree of integrity.

      Job Duties:
      • Reports directly to Design Tech Lead and works in unison to organize and implement discipline specific BIM standards and best practices
      • Assists Design Tech Lead with Studio Team support by:
        • attending project startup/ kickoff meeting
        • supporting Studio Teams throughout the life of the project regarding model management via quarterly check-ins
      • Manages and implements BIM processes, workflows, and efficiencies regarding standards adherence and overall organizational refinement. Works in unison with Design Tech Lead to implement studio facing changes
      • Strategically analyzes discipline specific metrics, informing Design Tech Lead + Director of Design Tech on topics requiring workflow evaluation, training and/or reinforcement needs
      • Collaboratively establishes and leads discipline specific BIM initiatives following proper Project Management:
        • Initiation
        • Planning
        • Execution
        • Performance and Control
        • Project Close
      • Creates and updates SOP articles related to research and development, processes, standards, training, etc.
      • Assists Design Tech Team and IT Systems with software research, development, and testing
      • Assists Support/Administrative teams in creating internal/external marketing content
      • Manages several projects or tasks simultaneously

      Management Requirements: 1-2 Specialist

      Education Requirements:
      • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related technical discipline preferred; equivalent experience may be substituted
      • Professional and advanced knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, and Unifi Labs (Content Catalog), Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) is required
      • Intermediate knowledge of Adobe Suite, Civil 3D, Revit MEP and Structural Systems, CTC BIM Tools preferred
      • Familiarity with Navisworks Manage, Forma, Testfit, Dynamo, 3D Point Cloud scanning, 3ds Max, Enscape, Lumion, Ideate, DiRoots, other Revit Add-ins, and other VR/AR environments a plus

      Experience Requirements:
      • 9+ years A/E industry experience or capable of covering the responsibilities and duties above
      • 5+ years of experience in the utilization of BIM processes on A/E projects
      • 5+ years of relevant experience with Autodesk Revit and BIM management or systems support
