The Sr. BSA will support UCOP security initiatives focused on endpoint security and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) modernization. This role will work in a fast-paced environment, partnering with security, infrastructure, and stakeholder teams to coordinate requirements, implementation activities, communications, and project governance.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience leading security-related projects, particularly involving SIEM platforms, log management, endpoint security tools, and enterprise technology rollouts similar in scope to data governance or security platform implementations.
Contract Details
• Contract Duration: 6 months
• Target Rate: $115-$125/hr
• Expected Start: Immediate Key Responsibilities
• Lead project planning, coordination, and execution for security-focused initiatives.
• Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements.
• Partner with security teams, infrastructure teams, and stakeholders to track deliverables, risks, dependencies, and milestones.
• Facilitate meetings, document action items, and drive follow-through across workstreams.
• Support implementation and transition activities related to SIEM and security tooling.
• Develop and maintain project documentation, status reports, communication plans, and stakeholder updates.
• Coordinate user readiness, communications, and adoption activities utilizing SharePoint and other collaboration platforms.
• Manage project repositories and documentation using approved tools and processes.
• Track project risks, issues, decisions, and mitigation plans.
• Collaborate with Security teams and other technical stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
• 7-10 years of experience as a Project Manager, Business Analyst, or combined PM/BA role.
• Experience managing enterprise security projects in complex organizations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working with:
o Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) platforms o Log management and security monitoring solutions o Enterprise security implementations and technology rollouts
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience creating business requirements, process documentation, project plans, and status reporting.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities. Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with QRadar SIEM or SIEM migration/implementation projects.
• Experience with Trellix and/or CrowdStrike security platforms.
• Experience supporting security operations, monitoring, logging, or cybersecurity initiatives.
Key Success Factors
Proactive Sr. BSA/PM hybrid resource to lead and coordinate two who can quickly navigate a complex security environment, work closely with technical and business stakeholders, and drive successful delivery of key security initiatives within an aggressive timeline.
• Malware Protection Platform Migration, mid-November o Decommission Trellix
o Deploy CrowdStrike agents to approximately 35, 000 endpoints o Coordinate testing, deployment planning, communications, and operational readiness
o Manage risks, dependencies, and stakeholder alignment o Implement CrowdStrike agents for approximately 35000 ends points
• Migrate SIEM Integration, mid-December o Remove QRadar integrations
