      Graebel is looking for a Sr Manager, Data Governance who will be responsible for leading the strategic and tactical initiatives to ensure the integrity, quality, and reliability of Graebel’s data. This role will require a balance of visionary thinking and hands-on execution to drive data governance policies, procedures, and programs across the organization.

      We are committed to fair and transparent compensation. The salary range for this role is based on several factors including experience, skills, and qualifications and is $85,000 to $100,000.


      Required Skills

      PRINCIPAL/ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

      Strategic Leadership
      • Develop and implement a comprehensive data governance strategy that aligns with the organization's goals and objectives.
      • Establish and maintain data governance frameworks, standards, and best practices.
      • Collaborate with senior leadership to define data governance priorities and initiatives.
      • Drive a culture of data excellence throughout the organization.
      Tactical Execution
      • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the data governance program, ensuring efficient execution of policies and procedures.
      • Build and maintain data dictionaries across business lines.
      • Monitor and enforce data governance standards to ensure data consistency, accuracy, and security.
      • Work with data stewards and data owners to implement data quality and data management initiatives.
      • Design and deliver training programs to promote data governance awareness and best practices across the organization.
      • Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify and address data governance issues.
      Collaboration and Communication
      • Foster strong partnerships with Business Intelligence, IT, legal, compliance, quality and business units to ensure alignment on data governance initiatives.
      • Communicate data governance objectives, policies, and progress to stakeholders at all levels.
      • Lead the Data Governance Board and coordinate its activities to ensure effective oversight and decision-making.
      Preferred Skills
      • Certification in Data Management or Data Governance (e.g., CDMP, DGSP).
      • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
      • Ability to drive change and influence stakeholders.
      • Experience working with a Data Lakehouse or Warehouse, Report Building, Business Intelligence and/or Analytics a plus.

      Required Experience

      Education

      • Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Data Science, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.

      Knowledge/Experience

      • 10+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or a related field, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
      • Strong understanding of data governance principles, frameworks, and best practices.
      • Proven experience in developing and implementing data governance strategies and programs.
      • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
      • Ability to think strategically while managing tactical execution.
      • Proficiency in data governance tools and technologies.

      Licenses/Certifications/Specialized Training

      • Certification in Data Management or Data Governance (e.g., CDMP, DGSP).

      COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The targets for this role are dependent on market/ geographic location and range from $ 85,000 to $ 100,000 .
