      What You Will Achieve

      In this role, you will:

      • Lead, manage and develop the safety and Industrial hygiene programs in McPherson to ensure regulatory compliance, reduce risks, and keep our colleagues safe.

      • Lead the evaluation and management of EHS risks across the site.

      • Develop long-term strategic planning for EHS operations, managing multiple strategic projects to improve program.

      • Lead and participate in EHS audits across all company facilities and regions, organizing resources and developing audit scopes.

      • Drive continuous improvement and innovation across projects, implementing action plans and adopting best practices.

      • Develop risk assessment methods and tools, ensuring EHS management systems are communicated and improved.

      • Promote employee involvement in maintaining a hazard-free work environment and conduct related trainings.

      • Lead communication strategies with external agencies on occupational health and safety matters.

      • Develop a high-performing talent base, foster innovation, and manage resources to deliver on strategic projects within the Global Business Unit.

      Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements)

      • BA/BS with 6+ years of experience or MBA/MS with 5+ years of experience or PhD/JD with 1+ year of experience or MD/DVM with any years of experience

      • CSP, CIH, or other EHS/IH related professional certification

      • Extensive experience managing and implementing EHS programs and IH focus.

      • Detailed expertise in the risk management (assessment and implementation of risk mitigation strategies)

      • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills

      • Experience with Emergency Management, or Crisis Management required

      • Demonstrated ability to facilitate effective cross functional meetings of colleagues at all levels of the organization

      • Excellent project management and problem-solving skills

      • Proficient in MS Office applications

      • People Management experience.

      • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work across multiple countries and cultures.

      • Demonstrated working knowledge of local, state and federal regulatory requirements and guidelines associated with biosafety.

      • Good understanding of safety and environmental programs and key processes.

      Bonus Points If You Have (Preferred Requirements)

      • Master’s degree and relevant pharmaceutical experience.

      • Certification in recognized EHS specialties or professional license .

      • Relevant specialization in EHS (e.g. lab safety, occupational hygiene, biosafety).

      • Experience working in dynamic complex, matrixed business models.

      • Experience with Six Sigma/Lean Manufacturing

      • Certified Business Continuity Professional

      NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

      Will be supporting 24x7 manufacturing plant. In emergencies or for none-routine events, will be required to be contactable and/or on-premise on off-hours.

      The annual base salary for this position ranges from $135,100.00 to $225,100.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 17.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
