      The Role

      Moderna is seeking a leadership role to manage the planning and forecasting process for global kitting operations. Reporting to the Senior Director, Global Clinical Kitting with strong partnerships with Biomarker Operations, Clinical Operations, PASE, Digital, and other groups across Moderna’s trial portfolio the role will establish, build, and integrate forecasting and planning processes for kitting operations that scale with the Company’s global expansion and trial portfolio. The position will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans to optimize kitting operations, forecast demand, and ensure timely delivery of kits. The ideal candidate will have kitting operations, project management, and supply chain operations, preferably within a regulated environment.       Here’s What You’ll Do

      • Develop and implement a comprehensive global kitting planning and forecasting strategies to support internal and external processes that are aligned with the company's objectives and customer demands.

      • Develop business process models, process maps, process outlines and documentation to assist in evaluating and optimizing business operations including areas of data initiation and data collection.

      • Analyze and interpret data to identify demand patterns, forecast accuracy, inventory models, and potential risks, and provide recommendations for operational improvements or to minimize excess inventory.

      • Develop analytics based on historical data, clinical trial protocols, and project requirements to forecast demand for clinical kits and components with respect to visit schedules, therapy area, and trial phase.

      • Develop input and tracking mechanisms to standardize kit components and quantities during clinical trial protocol generation.

      • Implement and maintain production planning tools and software applications to streamline and manage operations.

      • Monitor inventory levels (safety stock, WIP, finished kits) across kitting operations and develop processes to ensure the delivery of appropriate stock levels to meet forecasted requirements.

      • Monitor production processes and identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.

      • Conduct regular meetings with cross-functional teams to review production plans, address issues, and ensure alignment.

      • Manage expiry dating of kits and components to track and minimize obsolescence.

      • Coordinate with procurement and production teams to develop business continuity plans for the mitigation of supply chain or production issues, optimization of lead times and minimization of disruptions across Moderna’s kitting network.

      • Develop capacity models across internal and external capabilities.

      • Monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to kit planning and forecasting, and provide regular reports to management on production performance, forecasting accuracy, and inventory management, highlighting areas for improvement and proposing actionable solutions.

      • Additional duties as may be assigned as required.

      Here’s What You’ll Need (Minimum Qualifications)

      • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field preferred but degree is not required, if the individual has relevant direct experience in this field.

      • 6 years leading a kitting or supply chain operation

      • Bachelors degree or equivalent working experience is required with at least 6 years of experience in leading kitting or supply chain operations.

      • Proven experience in kitting planning, demand forecasting, and inventory management, preferably in a global or multinational organization.

      • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

      • GxP experience highly preferred

      • Experience leading in a matrixed environment.

      • Experience with data analytics and reporting is significant.

      • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.

      • Willing to travel up to 25%
