What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Build and lead an integrated communications strategy that enhances understanding of the employer's medical leadership and research initiatives
- Shape compelling narratives around research partnerships, clinical outcomes, and safety practices to communicate impact effectively
- Lead communications for research publications and industry events, ensuring consistent messaging across channels
- Develop high-impact communications materials such as press releases, whitepapers, and thought-leadership pieces
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to translate scientific insights into accessible narratives for broader audiences
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 8-10 years of experience in healthcare, medical, or research communications, preferably in a fast-paced or highly regulated environment
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, public relations, or a scientific discipline
- Experience engaging with medical trade and mainstream media, with strong relationships across health and business press
- Proven ability to lead strategic communications around research findings and clinical milestones
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of simplifying complex medical topics
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience supporting communications in crisis contexts, particularly in developing public-facing explanations of medical standards
- Strong track record of crafting credible, data-driven narratives that build trust among various stakeholders
- Comfort working alongside executives, physicians, and legal teams to shape sensitive communications
