We’re seeking an experienced Senior Manager to head our successful Commodity Programs Team within our growing Foodservice Business. In this key leadership role, you'll be instrumental in the success of our K-12 Commodity Programs, guiding a skilled team to maximize competitive advantages, ensure compliance with federal regulations, and strategically market our commodity offerings. As the go-to expert on government cheese commodities, you’ll shape the future direction of the program, driving growth and innovation to increase sales within our K-12-focused Food Service sector.

      Responsibilities:
      Identify and implement K-12 commodity strategies to increase sales, enhance profitability, and create a competitive advantage.
      Ensure regulatory compliance with USDA (FNS) regulations, including staying informed on new pilot programs and assessing participation.
      Maintain expert knowledge on USDA commodities, including offerings, audit requirements, bid processes, and implications for the company.
      Manage inventories, conduct gap and trend analysis, and work with sales teams to execute commodity strategies for revenue generation.
      Oversee daily operations of the Commodities Team, including inventory management, process improvement, and team development.
      Market the USDA Commodity Program for our K-12 customers to increase sales, create training materials, and provide education for internal and external stakeholders.
      Build and maintain relationships with USDA, state agencies, and distributors; participate in industry organizations and secure state contracts.
      Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Plant Leaders, Sales, Marketing, Purchasing, R&D) to identify product opportunities leveraging USDA commodities.
      Ensure regulatory compliance for USDA commodity references in advertising and marketing materials.
      Partner with Global Supply Chain to optimize load scheduling for USDA commodities

      Basic Qualifications:
      Bachelor's degree (or equivalent years of experience) and a minimum of 8 years in a role involving program management with outside agencies or external partners as well as working closely with internal cross functional teams.

      Preferred Qualifications
      Previous experience in a USDA Commodity leadership role where you lead and developed a high functional team to identify and implement commodity strategies, audit, gap and trend analysis and bid processes to drive revenue generation in the CPG Industry.

      Compensation and Benefits:
      The base salary range for this position is $90,750 – $151,250 annually with eligibility for a 20% annual incentive bonus, that is based on organizational performance. The salary range represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to education, skills, work experience, certifications, geography etc. As such, starting pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.

      Qualifications

      Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent.

      Years of Related Experience: 8-10 years related experience.
