      Sr Manager of Responsible AI

      The advent of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Generative AI (GenAI) have created fast-changing business opportunities in automation/efficiency, insights generation, value creation, and consumer interactions. With that power comes great opportunity as well as responsibility to minimize risk, set guardrails, and govern the use of AI. Sitting in the enterprise center, this role will act as a Responsible AI expert across segments and functions for Mars Incorporated.

      This role has responsibility for supporting responsible governance of AI /GenAI, working across internal business segments and with external organizations.

      What are we looking for?

      • Bachelor’s degree in computer science/ data science or technical experience
      • Significant experience in digital technologies / governance
      • Strong hands-on digital experience, especially in AI / Analytics / Data Science
      • Strong follow through, execution and attention-to-detail in complex environment with multiple stakeholders
      • Track record of developing external networks to stay connected with latest trends, to build. internal best practice and strategies.
      • A history of developing strong internal networks, able to inspire others and help others build capabilities.
      • Strong sense of ethics, excellent business judgment
      • Excellent ability to communicate (oral and written) and create presentations/visual materials.

      What would be your key responsibilities?

      • Support the RAI Chair as PMO for the Responsible AI Governance Board and core team, own the GenAI impact assessment and escalation process, embed RAI into existing governance processes, propose metrics to measure RAI progress, help coordinate working groups (monitor & reporting, etc.).
      • Develop AI education and communication plans with relevant functions and segments to raise awareness, build Associate skills, and drive adoption of RAI governance practices.
      • Guide emerging Proof of Concepts, identify, and mitigate risks by working with applied scientists to create and implement advanced mitigation solutions, and new content moderation policies, to be applied to AI models and prompt engineering.
      • Represent Mars with external partners and consortiums on behalf of RAI Chair to benchmark RAI maturity, gather learning, and stay apprised of external and regulatory developments to define their implications for Mars.
      • Understand the unique needs of each function and segment regarding RAI skill-building.
