      Job Overview:

      Responsible for the development, planning and implementation of the S&OP/IBP Supply Plan for a global strategic customer and high-volume portfolio, including the balancing and management of inventory, customer service requirements, and total cost to meet finished goods demand with optimized total delivered costs [TDC]. Managing inventory for New Product launches, managing of disposition of slow moving and obsolete finished goods, and developing and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the end-to-end Supply Chain that creates capacity, optimizes inventory, improves service and/or drives growth. Represents portfolio of products in all issue management, constraint resolution, and S&OP/IBP processes. Regular and direct collaboration with customer, aligning customer requirements with McCormick’s internal supply plan. Interface with senior leadership, providing regular updates with regards to service, inventory, and cost.

      Roles & Responsibilities:

      • Manages the end-to-end supply for a category of products balancing service, cost, and working capital objectives. Direct responsibility for creating supply plans and indirectly influences demand plans in collaboration with the responsible demand planner for the product, in order to meet finished good demand at optimized total delivered cost. Develops production (rough cut) & inventory plans to meet finished goods demand via internal & co-pack operations network. Develops scenarios to avoid or resolve potential constraints.
      • Actively participates and represents planning for responsible category of products in the regional S&OP/ IBP process. Connects the outputs of the plant/site level S&OP supply review meetings to develop the E2E scenarios and resolutions and translate these early warnings into the S&OP/IBP processes to drive the right decision-making process. Prepare S&OP/IBP elevations and tradeoff decisions on opportunities and risk related to inventory and inventory-at-risk.
      • Daily management and problem-solving of forecast error impacts, supply and inventory plan variances, including unexpected demand, to ensure appropriate communication and actions with customer service, sales planning, marketing, operations and the customers as appropriate within the short- term horizon (i.e. less than 2 months) Accountable for resolving end to end issues within the short-term exception management process. Leads root-cause analysis related to service issues and implements corrective actions to resolve and pro-actively avoid in the future. Works directly with sales and customer service to allocate limited finished goods within the short-term horizon and collaborates on options within the longer time horizon in the regional IBP.
      • Leads team members in supply planning and provides indirect leadership to demand planner responsible for portfolio. Provide coaching, thought leadership, opportunities for personal development, and ensuring a continuous improvement mindset.
      • Serves as key point of contact for McCormick-to-Customer supply chain connectivity and collaboration. Oversee weekly customer meetings, ensuring customer requirements align with McCormick supply plans. Provides supply chain updates direct customer leadership.
      • Responsible to achieve optimization/reduction targets through the development, planning, and implementation of inventory management programs across Raw, Packaging, WIP and Finished Goods. Identifies, quantities, and leads projects to reduce inventory within the product category. Configures the end-to-end supply chain: Defines inventory de-coupling points, develops replenishment strategies, sets supply chain parameters in alignment with sites, e.g., batch sizes, make frequencies, safety stock levels, minimum order quantities, lead times, and ensures planning parameters (e.g. safety stock, lead times) are effectively implemented.
      • Responsible to achieve annual targets for product portfolio to reduce impact to the P&L related to inventory-at-risk from slow moving and obsolescence (IAR/SLOB). For product portfolio, evaluate slow moving materials and excess inventories and recommend and implement corrective action plans. Collaborates with finance, planning, and commercial to ensure appropriate levels of reserve are established for inventory-at-risk for product portfolio. Responsible to identify, quantify, and lead IAR/SLOB reduction projects for product portfolio.

      Required:

      • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field
      • 8+ years cumulative experience (internal + external) in Supply Planning, Demand Planning, Logistics, Procurement, Manufacturing, Operations, Customer Service, or Supply Chain consulting.
      • Experience with ERP (SAP/APO/SNP/PPDS Optimizer) & Advanced Planning Systems
      • Network supply balancing and coordination
      • Demonstrated management and team leadership
      • Customer facing skills and abilities
      • Excellent analytical skills - ability to manage & manipulate large amounts of data & convert to clear business information. Demonstrated ability to analyze, trouble-shoot, problem solve and resolve complex issues required.
      • Ability to challenge the status quo, think creatively, and take on challenging and often unpopular positions
      • Demonstrated leadership of large projects and/or process improvement initiatives with cross functional teams using advanced influencing & leadership skills required
      • Outstanding communication, organization, and coaching skills required.
      • Superior analytical skills. Application of judgment for analysis of factual and qualitative information and ability to draw out the insights and actions.
      • Proficiency with MS Excel, Power Point, Word

      Preferred:

      • MBA
      • Certifications in APICS, CPIM, or SCOR
