What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Independently manage complex payment posting, reconciliation, and refund processes
- Investigate discrepancies and monitor payment and credit activity
- Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve issues impacting payment accuracy and collections
- Identify root causes of payment issues and support improvements in workflows
- Expand electronic payments and remittances to enhance efficiency
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 3+ years of diverse revenue cycle management experience, including verification of benefits and payment posting
- 3+ years of experience in billing, collections, or a related role in healthcare
- Proven ability to improve and optimize processes using tools like Salesforce and Microsoft Office
- Expertise in applying structure and effective communication to solve problems
- Familiarity with writing concise deliverables for both technical and non-technical audiences
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in a startup or fast-paced healthcare environment
- Familiarity with various insurance billing types, including commercial and Medicare/Medicaid
- Technical proficiency with platforms such as Salesforce, Google Suite, and EHRs
- Demonstrated expertise in revenue cycle management with a focus on healthcare billing and credit management
