      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Develop and implement strategies to advance the employer's federal policy agenda, focused on child welfare and mental health.
      - Build and maintain strategic relationships with Congressional staff and relevant stakeholders.
      - Produce a variety of written policy and advocacy materials tailored to diverse audiences.
      - Monitor and provide input on federal legislation and proposed rules affecting infants and toddlers.
      - Organize briefings, webinars, and other events to promote policy priorities and engage stakeholders.

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Minimum of 4-6 years of relevant work experience, with Capitol Hill experience strongly preferred.
      - Strong knowledge of mental health and child welfare policy issues.
      - Proficiency in research and policy analysis, including evaluating complex documents and policy proposals.
      - Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with the ability to connect with various audiences.
      - Bachelor's degree in public policy, social work, psychology, early childhood education, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Experience participating in coalition groups and building relationships with stakeholders.
      - Knowledge of integrated early childhood systems and prevention strategies related to poverty.
      - Proven ability to operationalize equity-centered practices in policy development.
      - Strong organizational and time management skills in handling multiple responsibilities.
      - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
