What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Collect and analyze data to prepare supporting documentation for Medicare and Medicaid cost reports
- Review audit adjustments for accuracy and compliance with federal and state regulations
- Prepare calculations for accounts receivable and third-party reserves, including timely journal entries
- Assist in the annual net revenue budget and three-year forecasting process
- Act as a liaison between the Reimbursement team and report writing team for regulatory data revisions
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration majoring in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field
- 3-5 years of job-related experience in hospital reimbursement, including Medicare and Medicaid cost report experience
- Current working knowledge of financial statement processes and strong financial skills
- Familiarity with regulatory changes and compliance in healthcare reimbursement
- Ability to prepare detailed analyses and supporting documentation accurately and timely
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in Medicare medical education reimbursement (IME/DGME)
- Knowledge of the Medicare provider enrollment system (PECOS)
