What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage multiple utility-scale energy storage projects through the full-lifecycle environmental permitting process
- Work hands-on with Development Leads on renewable battery storage project specific environmental permitting initiatives
- Develop and implement a cohesive project development environmental permitting framework
- Act as a management leader and subject matter expert at public hearings for environmental permitting land use assessments
- Evaluate local, state, and federal environmental permitting regulations and lead the team in drafting permitting plans

What is Required (Qualifications):
- 10+ years of experience supporting complex environmental permitting strategies for large renewable energy projects
- Experience with environmental zoning analysis, land entitlement, and environmental permitting plans
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work hands-on with Project Developers
- Environmental assessment experience dealing with NEPA, wetlands, ESA Phase I, cultural resource surveys, and T&E Species reports
- Track record of success creating environmental permitting strategies leading to project NTP/COD status

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Understanding of national energy markets as they relate to environmental permitting requirements
- Experience with PJM, ERCOT, SPP, MISO, NYISO, ISO-NE, and CAISO
- Knowledge of transmission and battery storage in utility-scale renewables
