- Provides a wide range of program and administrative support for NEA.
- Advises on various administrative policies, procedures, and requirements.
- Reviews correspondence for proper format, consistency, grammatical accuracy, completeness and clarity; advises personnel of overdue action items, upcoming deadlines, priority of issues, format, and workflow procedures.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Incumbent will be subject to random drug testing.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.

- Experience coordinating and tracking the flow of information and taskings across offices.
- Experience developing and planning itineraries for meetings and travel.
- Experience developing and communicating internal procedures.
This position is located in the Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs (NEA). The incumbent serves as a Staff Assistant on the immediate staff of the Assistant Secretary and the Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary.

Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in the Federal service which provided the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position.
