What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Gather pertinent information from incoming calls regarding medications and address medication-related questions and issues
- Review patient medication profiles to guard against drug sensitivities and interactions
- Collaborate with health system physicians to authorize prescription refills
- Conduct thorough reviews of patients' electronic medical records to develop appropriate care plans
- Document encounters and e-scribe approved prescription refills to the appropriate pharmacy
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy
- Licensed Pharmacist in Pennsylvania within 90 days
- Proficiency in order processing and clinical judgment
- Ability to interpret and clarify physicians' medication orders
- Strong teamwork skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Doctoral Degree in Pharmacy
- Experience in a clinical environment
- Familiarity with collaborative practice agreements
