  Marathon TS is seeking a Staff Engineer to support our retail client that consistently ranks in the Fortune top 10.
  
  JOB DESCRIPTION:
  Core Technical & Delivery Skills
  
  • Strong SDLC mastery - Agile, Scrum, or hybrid delivery models; knows how to translate feature roadmaps into sprint-ready execution
  • Technical fluency - comfortable discussing APIs, event streams, data pipelines, tagging, SDKs, and cloud environments (esp. GCP or AWS)
  • Integration delivery - experience coordinating multiple systems (ad server, analytics, identity, or CMS integrations)
  • Data-driven project oversight - understands data flows, reporting layers, and dependencies between engineering and analytics teams
  • Tool proficiency - Jira (including Advanced Roadmaps), Confluence, Smartsheet, Power BI, or equivalent
  
  Communication & Leadership Strengths
  
  • Cross-functional facilitation - skilled at aligning Product, Engineering, and Business teams around shared outcomes
  • Executive communication - simplifies complex tech or delivery issues for non-technical stakeholders

  Key Differentiators
  
  • AdTech / Retail Media Network experience - familiarity with ad serving, attribution, campaign management, or publisher systems
  • Product acumen - experience collaborating with Product Managers on defining MVPs, requirements, and prioritization
  • Platform or data integration background - especially with identity, audience data, or performance reporting systems
  • Technical empathy - former engineer, analyst, or QA/BA who transitioned into delivery or PM roles
  • Comfort working in scaled environments - managing multiple teams or vendors across interconnected workstreams
