      Meet the team:

      Direct Materials Sourcing team at Dexcom is a group of category experts managing sourcing strategy for: 1) Contract Manufacturing of sub-assemblies, 2) Mechanicals & Converting, 3) Electronic Components & Finished Goods, 4) Metals, Chemicals, Packaging & 5) Capex & Sterilization. This group is on a quest to secure capacity, ensure supply, manage cost, and mitigate supply risk. This position will be responsible to lead Electronics Component and Finished Goods category and manage a team of 2 category managers. This is where you take your relationship building, networking and negotiation skills to a different level!

      Where you come in:

      • You will have the responsibility for developing short to long term sourcing strategies for the Mechanical Components ( Metals & Plastics ) and Adhesives Categories and provide leadership, expertise, and strategic thinking for managing these category.
      • You will drive negotiations and contracting, develop robust category strategies, reduce dependence on single/sole sourced suppliers, ensure supply and deliver cost improvement.
      • You will work closely with R&D and Sustaining Engineering to manage NPI and sustaining initiatives to support future product and market strategies.
      • You will own & design strategies that extend through the full supply chain including primary and sub-tier suppliers.
      • You will be responsible for supplier relationship management and risk assessment while developing and implementing risk mitigation plans.

      What makes you successful:

      • Proven track record of working experience as a strategic sourcing professional with in-depth knowledge of strategic sourcing concepts & best practices to support electronics component category.
      • Extensive knowledge of the Electronics/EMS Industry, key cost drivers and manufacturing process of PCBA and electronic assemblies, and market dynamics.
      • Strong supplier relationship, negotiation, and networking skills
      • Strong knowledge of medical device manufacturing industry contractual terms & practices
      • Ability to effectively influence others and manage sensitive situations
      • Ability to manage, navigate, and perform at a high level in a matrix organization
      • Ability to build a quantitative & qualitative business case, articulate it effectively, and get support from senior leadership
      • Proven track record of delivering results while working effectively cross-functionally
      • Ability to build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships to establish “Trusted Advisor” status
      • Strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines
      • Track record of success leading and participating in cross functional improvement efforts; includes creating process diagrams, analyzing workflows, and developing standard operating procedures.
      • High competency with problem-solving; is self-motivated to overcome challenges and obstacles

      • 15-25%

      Exempt Salary Details:

      The annual base salary range for this role is $105,800.00 to $176,300.00. Final compensation package will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, business needs and market demand.

      Experience and Education

      • Typically requires a Bachelors degree and a minimum of 8-12 years of related experience.
      • At this level a graduate degree may be desirable with 4 years of related experience.
